The number one question I’m asked is “does sugar feed cancer?” I used July and August to dispel that myth, to talk about sugar in general and how we as a society consume too much in our daily diets. We discussed food labels and how to differentiate natural sugar versus added sugars. We measured amounts of sugar in commons foods. There was a lot of shock value in this activity. Everyone was surprised to find out how much sugar lurks in seemingly healthy foods. Check out my blog on hidden sources of sugar.
