National Nutrition Month® is a nutrition education and information campaign created annually in March by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. “Put Your Best Fork Forward” is the theme for 2017. The message reminds us that we hold the tools to make healthier food choices. I absolutely ❤️ this theme because it has added meaning to the population I volunteer & work with. Many cancer patients have so much anxiety surrounding food & nutrition. I always emphasize the importance of how good nutrition makes a difference during cancer treatment, but I also stress that what anyone can do on a given day may vary. And if one day your best is only eating 3 bites of food, you’re still putting your best fork forward❣️

March 8th was Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day❣️ Look for credentials RDN (or RD) when seeking help you with your nutritional needs.
